Prayer Ministry President

Missionary Jasmine Baker was born in St. Mary, Jamaica. At the age of 6, she moved to Kingston, Jamaica. She is the 3rd of 8 children born to the late Deacon Aston Neil and late Mother Evelyn Neil. Missionary Baker was raised in the Apostolic faith, baptized at age 9 and received the infilling of the Holy Ghost at age 11. In 1970, Missionary Baker migrated to Canada. Since living in Canada, she has worked in various ministries. She has served in music ministry, on the Usher Board, in the Sunday School department (teacher/superintendent), working in pastoral administration, and served on the Board of Directors at a previous church assembly.

As a teenager, Missionary Baker felt the calling of the Lord on her life directing her to pray for others. This passion for prayer birthed a desire for intercessory and altar work. Through God’s direction, Missionary Baker actively leads and participates in the Intercessory and Altar Workers’ ministries at Kingdom Life Ministries.

Missionary Baker is blessed with 4 wonderful children, Elever, Athol (Candice), and Shenique, and 3 grandchildren, Christian, Charis, and Preston.

GOALS

INTERCESSORY MINISTRY: We will continue to support the needs of our national and international communities in prayer by increasing our visibility.

ALTAR WORKERS’: We will work with all individuals who approach the altar to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by increasing our knowledge of the various societal needs of people through spiritual attentiveness.

Overview

Prayer is nothing more or less, than talking with God. It is a two-way communication with God.

That’s it! Nothing complicated. You do not have to be in a certain place or in a particular position to pray. You do not have to have your hands clasped together, bending on your knees and saying certain words in the right order.

Prayer is simply you telling God what is on your heart, mind and soul and waiting for His response. Yes, there are guidelines to follow when we approach God in prayer, but prayer is beautiful, uncomplicated experience we can have with God daily.

Prayer gets us close to God, changes our attitude and allows us to be the person that God has designed us to be. Our prayers affects the way God relates to us and the way we relate with others. Our prayers can move God to meet our needs as well as those we pray for.

Prayer changes things. Don’t stop praying.
