Our History

Who We Are

God gave the vision of “Kingdom Life Ministries” to our Pastor in November of 1999. This vision came to pass when a small group of believers gathered together on December 15, 1999 for prayer in the home of Pastor and First Lady Smith. There were seven adults and four small children in attendance. The presence of God was very powerful in our midst, we knew then that God had called this ministry into existence.

For the next few weeks, our worship services, prayer meetings and Bible studies were held in the home of our Pastor and First Lady. This was not the most appropriate or convenient place to hold church services, but we enjoyed the presence of God in those services. God assured us by His Spirit, that we were in His will and Kingdom Life was showing signs of future power, even in its embryonic stage.

On December 31, 1999 (The eve of the New Millennium), the basement was filled to capacity. We realized that we had outgrown the basement and we were blessed with the opportunity to utilize the South Meadowvale Recreation Center as our next place of worship. God was opening the doors for this great ministry.

On February 6, 2000 all those who had made Kingdom Life their new home were consecrated into this ministry. It was a very anointed and moving service under the direction of Dr. E.C. Wilson (Cornerstone House of Refuge, Apostolic in Ottawa). A few weeks later we were welcomed into the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, with Bishop Robert Deas as our Bishop and Overseer.

Kingdom Life is a ministry that exalts the Kingdom of God, through radical and demonstrative praise and worship. As we gave our all unto God, souls were baptized, others were restored and gifts of the Holy Ghost were being poured out. As we began to witness miraculous healings and deliverances, we concluded in our minds, that this ministry must go beyond the borders of humanity to experience the excellence that God has for the Church.

As we continue to step into the destiny that God has orchestrated for this ministry, we cannot help but realize the dimensions of blessings in store for this ministry. We are on the plateau of a great move of God in the millennium. Therefore with a strong sense of urgency we will seek to continue to fulfill our mandate to build the Kingdom of God.
