Bishop Barrington E. Smith (Senior Pastor)
Dr. Barrington E. Smith, a native of Jamaica, was born on November 1st 1964, the youngest sibling to four brothers and four sisters.
He was baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in September 1976 and was later filled with the Holy Ghost. He has a powerful anointing and he began preaching as a teenager. Dr. Smith is radical worshipper, teacher, preacher, counsellor and dynamic Man of God. Over the years he has worked in several areas of ministries including field evangelism, prison, children's, and senior's ministries.
His education background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, both a Bachelor and a Masters Degree in Christian Education, and a Doctorate in Divinity from the International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth. He served as the Dean of the Cornerstone Academy of Biblical Studies.
Dr. Smith answered the call to pastorate in December 1999 and has since been shepherding the very vibrant and fast growing assembly of Kingdom Life Ministries, which serves the Brampton and Mississauga communities.
In September 1989, Dr. Smith was united with Kareen Smith in Holy Matrimony. They have been blessed with three beautiful children, Kandice, Charice and Dylan.
First Lady Kareen Smith
First Lady Kareen Smith was born on June 1966 in Kingston Jamaica and is the second of four girls. At the age of 5 she migrated along with her family to Canada. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into her heart was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the age of 11 and afterwards, was filled with the power of the Holy Ghost. First Lady Smith has an awesome ministry in song and easily invokes the presences of God in her worship. She has been involved with teaching, counselling, music, children's, senior’s and women's ministry.
She attended Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning where she received her certification as a Medical Administrator. First Lady Smith is currently enrolled at the Cornerstone Academy of Biblical Studies, working towards a Bachelor Degree in Christian Evangelism.
In September 1989, First Lady Smith was united with Dr. Barrington E. Smith; together they have three wonderful children, Kandice, Charice and Dylan. She is a supportive wife and a caring mother who is loved and respected by those who know her.
Elder Weston Richards (Assistant Pastor)
Elder Weston Richards is a native of St. Ann, Jamaica but has lived most of his life in Toronto Canada. At the age of 12 years old he was baptized in the name of Jesus and he received the empowering of the Holy Ghost shortly thereafter. As a highly regarded young man he served in the Youth Ministry as the Youth President for several years at Mount Zion Apostolic Church of Canada, (Malton, Ontario).
His thirst for more knowledge led him to acquire a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education at the International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth. He is a teacher at the Cornerstone Academy of Biblical Studies.
He is a Sunday School Teacher and the Treasurer. He served as an ordained minister for several years until God called him to be an Elder and subsequently to the post of the Assistant Pastor to Dr. Barrington Smith. He continues to function as an honourable, spiritual man of the Word and one that teaches and preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He is a devoted husband to Missionary Michelle Richards and the father of their two daughters,
Shai-ann and Jai-lynn.
Elder Renick Walker
Elder Renick Walker was born in St. Ann, Jamaica, West Indies, the last child of 11 children. His father was a Bishop and founder of The First Glorious Temple Apostolic in St. Ann and his mother was a missionary. He got saved at the tender age of 14 years and has continued in his parents footsteps in the gospel even after migrating to Canada in 1977.
In 1986 he was ordained as an evangelist at Mount Moriah Apostolic Church and then in 1992 as an Elder where he was involved with such ministries as youth, Sunday school and music. As a musician he has a tremendous passion for playing the guitar.
He was married in June 1983 to Maureen and the Lord has blessed them with two wonderful children, David and Kimberly. The family resides in the city of Brampton.
We believe that God will continue to use Elder Walker to be a blessing in different areas of the ministry as he continues to have a passion for God's word.
Elder William McPherson
Elder William McPherson was born in Kingston, Jamaica W.I. the youngest of 11 children. At the age of 9 years old, he began his Christian journey. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and subsequently thereafter received the gift of the Holy Ghost. During his formative Christian years, he had the example of his parents, who were both ministers in the Church. This helped him to continue in his walk with God even after he migrated to Canada in 1979.
God has blessed Elder McPherson with many gifts and talents. He has an incredible singing voice and he's a very energetic worshiper. In 1983, he was ordained a Minister of the gospel at Bethel Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Toronto, Ontario. Not long thereafter, he was elevated to the office of an Elder. Over the years, he served in the Youth Ministry as the President for several years, the Sunday School Department, the Brotherhood Department as President, and the Music Ministry as Choir Director and Praise and Worship Leader. Bro Willie as he is affectionately called by most people, is considered by those who know him as a father-figure, an advisor, a counsellor, a man of integrity, and one who love the lord.
Elder McPherson is marred to his wife, Dellis since November 1981, and they are the proud parents of: Paula, Stephen, Andrea (daughter-in-law), Gregory, and Jason.
Minister Alrick Grange
Minister Alrick Grange was born in Manchester, Jamaica and migrated with his parents to Canada at the age of two. He was baptized in Jesus name at the age of twelve and received the Holy Ghost shortly thereafter. The Lord blessed him with a musical gift that he could not deny, and has committed to using it for the glory of God. He has ministered with local gospel groups like "The Sound of Pentecost", "Witness A Blessing" and was manager of the profound girls group, "FOCUS".
Minister Grange has a passion for ministry in song and enjoys writing and arranging music. He is the Director of Music & Worship Arts at Kingdom Life Ministries and President of the Music Ministry for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World - Canada Council. Minister Grange holds a post-secondary education in Business Administration and a post-graduate executive designation in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Professionally he serves in Public Administration with the City of Mississauga, as a Management Consultant. Minister Grange is husband to his lovely wife Karen and the proud father of Sidone Olivia, and Alrick A. Grange II.
Minister Wayne Levers
Minister Wayne Levers was born in Kingston, Jamaica and migrated with his parents to Canada at the age of twenty-one. He was baptized in Jesus name at the age of fifteen and received the Holy Ghost shortly afterwards. In 2000 he was ordained a Minister, at Calvary Apostolic Church Inc. Long Island, New York.
He served in the Youth Ministry as the President for several years, the Sunday School Department, the Brotherhood Department, and the Music Ministry. As a musician, he has a thirsting passion for playing the drums. Minister Levers is currently enrolled at the Cornerstone Academy of Biblical Studies, working towards his Degree in Theology. He was married in November 1995 to Comella and the Lord has blessed them with one handsome son, Marc-Anthony. He currently resides with his family in the city of Brampton. We believe that God will continue to use Minister Levers in various capacities within the church, as he teaches and ministers the word of God.
Minister Carlton Christie
Min. Carlton
Christie developed a passion for God and for worship at a very young
age. He became a born again believer in his early twenties after a
fellow co-worker invited him to a church convention. Today he stands as
an anointed preacher, teacher, songwriter and a published author, whose
love for God is visibly contagious.
He
serves the body of Christ as the current President of the Canada District Council Men’s Auxiliary of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (PAW), a staff professor at the Cornerstone Academy of Biblical Studies (CABS), the Bible Class and Doctrinal Class teacher at
Kingdom Life Ministries, and is an integral part of the chaplaincy program at the Vanier Correctional Centre for Women—the largest facility
of its kind in Canada.
Minister
Christie’s passion for God and for the souls of men is evident as he
continues to do the work of an evangelist, making full proof of his
ministry. The unique anointing with which he ministers has encouraged
invitations from across Canada, the United States of America, Europe and
the Caribbean, to preach and teach God’s Word.
Rev. Christie resides in York Region with his lovely wife and children, and continues to serve the Lord Jesus, faithfully.
